Tour Plan

Your camping safari starts with the drive to Tarangire, Tanzania’s fifth largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife in this park, including lion, leopard, cheetah and up to six thousand elephant. After arrival spend the rest of the day on game drive in the park.

In the morning you’ll drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park. This beautiful park with it’s lush vegetation and tropical forests of giant fig and mahogany trees, takes its name from the Maasai word for “euphorbia tirucalli”, a bush which is used to make a thorny hedge to protect their cattle. Elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra and a variety of antelope inhabit the park as well as a variety of monkeys and a large population of hippos. If you are lucky you may see the Manyara lions, well known for their tree climbing habits, lazily resting on the branches of an “Acacia tortilis” tree. The birdlife is also abundant with flamingos, pelicans, hornbills and plenty of forest species.

After breakfast you start on your way to Serengeti National Park. You will pass ngorongoro highland and stop to the view point of the crater for short look and take some photos. Then proceed to serengeti gate. After stopping for your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) in Serengeti you will continue further into the park and go on a game drive.

Full day filled of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of the year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species.

Early morning game drive to see noctuner animals who coming back to their place after hunting, then back to the camp for branch meals then drive to Ngorongoro. The grassy caldera is home to eland, bushbuck and sometimes buffaloes. Water flows across the crater to the south side where it ours out to a small but spectacular waterfall known as Munge Stream. The six kilometer wide Empakai Crater is dominated by a deep soda lake which occupies nearly half the floor. Water birds and wildlife is often seen around the lake. Your camping for this nights will be at the Ngorongoro crater rim. Perched on the edge of the crater, this beautiful affords panoramic views of the crater floor.

After breakfast you will descend into the crater for a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater considered as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls the Ngorongoro Crater has the highest wild animal density worldwide. Among the species are lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. You might expect to see the ‘Big Five’ in one day. After picnic lunch you will start drive to Arusha, shopping on the way. Afterwards you return to Arusha with arrival late evening. Then you will transfer to your hotel. End of Camping safari.
