Unwind after your journey, explore the town’s bustling markets, or enjoy a delicious meal at a local restaurant as you acclimate to the serene ambiance of northern Tanzania.
Note: Starting your safari in Moshi offers several advantages over the common belief that beginning in Arusha is better. First, staying in Moshi provides the impressive view of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa. Plus, you can embark on a day trip to the first camp via the Marangu Route. Moshi also offers excellent day trip opportunities, including visits to Materuni Waterfall, the tallest in northern Tanzania, the Kikuletwa Hot Springs, and a top-rated coffee tour showcasing Kilimanjaro coffee, renowned for its quality due to the volcanic soil. Additionally, your last night with Mropean Safaris will be in Arusha, allowing you to enjoy the city’s attractions as well.
Depart Moshi at 8 am for Lake Manyara, passing through the vibrant town of Mto wa Mbu. Experience Lake Manyara's diverse wildlife, including tree-climbing lions, pink flamingos, and large baboon troops. Capture the stunning sunset over the Great Rift Valley before heading to Lake Eyasi.
Join the Hadzabe Bushmen at dawn for an unforgettable hunting demonstration. Experience their traditional lifestyle, learning their hunting techniques and foraging skills. Spend the day exploring the Lake Eyasi region, with opportunities for nature walks or a scenic drive around the lake, rich in birdlife and herbivores.
Journey to Ngorongoro Crater, driving through lush rainforests alive with wildlife. Descend into the crater, home to the Big Five and endangered black rhinos. Enjoy a thrilling game drive and a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife.
After breakfast, drive to the Serengeti with a stop at a traditional Maasai boma. Engage with the Maasai, learning about their customs and daily life. Continue to the Serengeti for an afternoon game drive, seeking out the Big Five, cheetahs, and other iconic wildlife.
Rise early for a spectacular sunrise game drive, the best time to witness predators on the hunt. After breakfast, spend the day exploring the Serengeti, following the Great Wildebeest Migration and discovering the park's diverse wildlife.
Set off on a captivating morning game drive through the Serengeti, where you’ll have one last opportunity to spot wildlife against the stunning backdrop of the savannah. As you journey towards the Ngorongoro Highlands, keep your eyes peeled for elusive predators and grazing herbivores, making the most of your final Serengeti adventure before ascending into the lush, misty landscapes of the highlands.

Explore this lively community on a guided walking tour, witnessing traditional farming techniques, bustling local markets, and the warm hospitality of its residents.
