This 8 days Uganda and Tanzania safari takes you to Serengeti National Park to experience the wildebeest migration and Ngorongoro conservation area all endowed with vast wildlife. You will further more observe the wildebeest migration closely at the Ndutu area and Ngorongoro crater where large sums of animals like wildebeests, zebras and antelopes cross to Masai Mara of Kenya as predators patiently wait to feast on their helpless young ones. You will then cross to Uganda to proceed with your safari to Kibale National Park for chimpanzee trekking and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking. Kibale National Park is a home to over 13 primate species that will all be encountered while Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a haven to half of the world’s remaining gorilla population.

Tour Plan

You will be welcomed to your safari by our driver guide who will be waiting for you at the airport. He will take you through a briefing about this 8 days safari and immediately set off for your 4 to 5 hours’ drive to Serengeti National Park arriving to check-in at your reserved lodge to have lunch. After lunch you will proceed for game viewing in Serengeti’s savannah plains as you spot a variety of animals like buffaloes, lions, gazelles, wildebeests, zebras, leopards, elephants, waterbucks, dik-dik and many more. Return to your lodge to have dinner and an overnight.

Wake up to grab your morning breakfast, meet your driver guide and return to Serengeti savannah plains to experience the great wildebeest migration that involves millions of animals moving northwards to Masai Mara National Park in Kenya. Several animals will be spotted for example gazelles, zebras, wildebeests and many more as predators wait along the river to grab a feast such as crocodiles, lions, leopards, cheetahs and many more while you have such an unforgettable sight. Return to the lodge for lunch, check-out and transfer southwards to Ngorongoro arriving to check-in at a pre-arranged lodge to relax, have dinner and an overnight.

Have your morning breakfast, proceed to the Ngorongoro crater region for game viewing as you spot various wildlife such as gazelles, elands, impalas, zebras, waterbucks, hartebeests, wildebeests and many more. Furthermore you will enjoy the bird life at Lake Magadi as you spot flocks of flamingos and hippopotamuses along the lake’s shores. You will return back to your lodge for lunch, check-out and embark on your 2 to 3 hours’ drive to Arusha arriving to check-in at a hotel to have dinner and an overnight.

Wake up very early in the morning to have breakfast, check-out and be driven to Arusha airport to catch your flight to Entebbe international airport in Uganda. This will take you around 4 to 5 hours arriving to be received by your driver guide and transfer you to a restaurant or hotel for lunch. After lunch, you will immediately set off for Kibale National Park via Kampala – Mubende – Fort portal and driving for around 5 hours to arrive at your reserved lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Have a scrumptious breakfast and be driven to the park headquarters for a briefing about the chimpanzee trekking rules. Ranger guides will lead you to Kibale’s rainforests to embark on the search of these endangered primate species. The search of the habituated chimpanzee family lasts for about 1 to 4 hours depending on their movement as you spot other primates such as blue-monkeys, red-tailed monkeys , baboons, grey-checked mangabeys to mention but a few. You will have an hour with the chimpanzees before you descend back to the lodge to have lunch. After lunch you will proceed for a nature walk to the home of the great blue turaco which is a haven to over 200 bird species, primates, mammals and many more that will be encountered. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Wake up to a hefty breakfast, checkout to catch your drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park southwards with a lunch en-route along the way as you enjoy spectacular scenic views of the Kigezi region also known as the Switzerland of Uganda. Arrival will be in the late afternoon to check-in at your pre-arranged lodge to have dinner and an overnight to relax as you wait to have your safari high point in the next morning.

This magical day starts with a hefty breakfast and immediately be driven to the park headquarters with parked lunch for a briefing before you embark on the search of the endangered mountain gorillas. This will involve hiking into Bwindi forests led by ranger guides while you encounter various bird types and other primates. The search may last for about 1 to 6 hours depending on their location after which you will have an hour to remember as you closely watch them go by their routine activities. Get back to the lodge, relax and proceed to have a Twa cultural experience. You will be led by a Twa guide as he narrates stories and myths about their culture and traditions. Retire off their settlements to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

You will have breakfast served in the early morning, checkout to embark on your drive back to Kampala while you enjoy the scenic beauty of Uganda’s southwestern region. The journey will take you to about 9 hours with a lunch en-route in Mbarara and proceeding to have a stop-over at the equator line in Kayabwe to have that experience where the earth is divided into two equal parts. You will have the opportunity to take photos at the equator monument as well as buy some souvenirs to take with you home. Arrival will be in the late afternoon to be dropped off at the airport of hotel for relaxation as you wait for the actual time of your flight.
